Vox did some magic on these Cooltron pedals to get a proper 12AU7 preamp valve to run off a regular 9v supply. That lends a certain warmth and fatness to the tone. There's a heap fo knobs to tweak, so you can really get the tone dialled in hard. With big settings, this will squish the absolute crap out of your signal, so you can have some fun really messing things up with it too.
