Mesa Boogie Bottle Rocket V1 tube-powered distortion. This little guy packs a pair of Mesa's upmarket version of the 12AX7. The controls are pretty simple, just a gain and volume and a treble and bass EQ section, but they feel very 'living' when you adjust them. This does low/mid gain distortion okay, but the magic really happens when you dial the gain right up... There's heaps of rich, singing crunch on tap; it's glorious. This is a cool sound to have at your disposal, and it's a whole lot easier and cheaper than buying a Dual Rectifier!
