This is a nice simple compressor. There's plenty of headroom, it's low on noise, the volume out means it can be used as a clean boost, the 'emphasis' control is handy for smoothing out your bass notes especially... basically, if you want to experiment with a little comp in your chain, this is a cheap and effective way to see how you like it.
