There's a bunch of different Big Muffs out there... here's a fun one. This one here is a V7 second edition, colloquially called a Black Russian, four screw box, made in Russia 1999-2000. These are the exact same circuit as the last of the bubble font green box units, which fetch enormous cash these days. This one is missing some feet and the battery cover, and it's had a regular 9v negative DC input added, so it's priced at 'players grade' dollars. But, it still has that sound: thick, juicy fluff exploding with harmonics and warmth. It's a warm chocolate bath for your guitar tone. Yum yum.
