Crews do amazing work, both in guitars and also pedals. This is a bass overdrive pedal, seemingly modelled on the vintage Ampeg SVT amps. It's got a super powerful EQ with plenty of low end on tap, and then gain/mix/volume controls. It's a great balance of teethy snarl and smooth creamy lows and mids, and sounds very natural and satisfying. There's some pretty nasty bass specific overdrives out there (I'm looking at you, Boss ODB-3), so it's fun to get one that just sounds 'right'.
