Boss HM-3 Hyper Metal Distortion Pedal 1993
The HM-2 is perhaps the most scoffed-at/adored distortion on the internet. The Hyper Metal was the model that superseded that, so it's got the same controls (just dime them all, of course) but with a slightly more 'modern' edge to the tone. All in all, it'll still do the church burning, neopaganist Norwegian black metal tone, but for around half the price of it's slightly older brother. Brutal etc.
