Twenty Cent Guitar Co S-Style 'Pepperoni' 2025
Twenty Cent Guitar Co. Perpperoni Special, made in Australia 2025. 20c is the project of local Hobart guitar maker Tim Caldwell, combining some native Australian tonewood with twists on some classic shapes. This one is a Strat-style build, but it's really been maxed out, with a bunch of holes drilled and filled with resin, a lava pickguard, fancy inlays and bunch of red and gold hardware. It's lightweight, especially for a hardtail, and feels pretty lively in the hands. The neck is a fat D-style shape, and being a multi-ply affair, it's super strong and feels good in the hands. The sound on tap is pretty firmly in the S-genre: spanky and snarly, chiming on top and fast down low. This obviously isn't for everybody, but if you're after something that's truly one of a kind, it's a pretty awesome score.
