GMF T-style Build Transparent Blue 2012

GMF T-Style, transparent blue, made in Sydney circa 2012. GMF was a one man show building guitars out of Sydney in the late-00s-early-10s. There's very little residual info around about exactly what he was up to: his actual name, models offered, pricing, wood selections etc are all a bit of a mystery. This is a cool little take on the Nashville Tele: humbucker in the bridge, middle pickup added for those Strat-style sounds, five way switch. The neck feels great: it's a slim C style shape carved from some quality maple and rosewood, with pretty tall stainless steel frets and very tidy workmanship all around. Looking at the body, I believe it's made of maple judging by the grain pattern and weight, and that's nicely executed too. The sound on offer is fat and bold, with a twang-aplenty and a generous, piano-like bass. The pearloid guard, abalone dots, matching headstock and rich blue hue make for a classy look too. Lots to like!
