Samick KJ-560 Superstrat Cherry 1992

 Samick KJ-560 superstrat in Cherry, made in Korea in 1992. Did you know that Samick were the single biggest instrument manufacturer in the world by the mid-90s? They must have been doing something right. This 1992 K series superstrat enjoys a good run of specs at its price point. First, you get good woodwork: a solid alder body, nice maple neck and rosewood board. The 24-fret board is bound and sports acrylic sharkfin inlays, and the defining aspect of the K series is the spoon cut bevels that you see here. Next up, hardware and electronics; You get a HSS ceramic pickup configuration with individual pickup switching and a coil tap for the humbucker for loads of tonal options. You also get a licensed Floyd Rose locking trem. The neck is comfy, the tone is versatile and the trem grants you dive bombs on the cheap. What's not to like?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has very minor finish wear on the front and a couple light scuffs on the back. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no noticeable marks. The back of the body has some scuffs and scratches, as well as a few dents. The sides have light finish wear mostly, with some bigger scuffs and scratches at the base. The front has widespread light scratches, some dings and scuffs as well as a dent near the bridge and knob.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 9/42 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 9/10, near no wear
