Fender American Special Stratocaster Black 2010
Fender American Special Strat, black, made in USA 2010. The Am Spesh line was made from 2010-18, as an entry level offering out of the California factory. It's got a quick modern C shaped neck with big tall frets and a modern radius, so it's a little more shred-friendly than a vintage style offering. The pickups lean further in the same direction: the Texas Special single coils are hot and punchy, with an assertive kick in the low end and a snarly treble, while the bridge humbucker is creamy with plenty of midrange push. The black-on-black looks cool, and paired with the big headstock and CBS-era logos, it definitely has a no-nonsense charm. Black goes with everything, right?
