Warmoth Jazzmaster Build Transparent Turquoise 2017

Warmoth Jazzmaster build, made in USA 2017, transparent turquoise. This is a thing of beauty. Warmoth are probably the biggest name in custom parts and builds, they've been doing it to a very high standard since 1980. This particular beasty was the brainchild of a local pro player and was the result of a lot of careful thought and soul searching. First up, it's a custom alder Jazzmaster style body, routed for two humbuckers with an easy-acccess neck heel. The neck is a gorgeous piece of birdseye maple, carved to a slim C with a fancy compound radius and stainless steel frets... heck, we're really off to a good start here. The pickups are by USA boutique behemoths Suhr: a set of Pete Thorn's signature humbuckers, with the wiring and controls inspired by his signature model. You get a five way blade switch with single coil and HB options, as well as the bridge pickup in parallel via a push/pull tone control. It sounds excellent: clear and balanced, with a lovely snarly clarity on the top end balanced by a wide, complex, meaty midrange and low end. Playing with the different tones on offer via the clever switching will let you cover more ground than you could ever strictly need, but all the sounds on offer are very high quality. This absolutely sounds and plays as good as it looks, and if you ordered a new build with these specs, you'd be up for considerably more cash. It's got panache, friends.
