Ibanez Premium JEM7VP, white, made in Indonesia 2019. Few guitar players have managed to change the way we see the instrument as much as Steve Vai. After rising to prominence playing for none other than Frank Zappa, Vai has worked with everyone from Motorhead to Mary J Blige to Polyphia, as well as delivering a stack of mind-melting solo albums that pushed guitar playing past perceived limits at the time. The JEM is his signature guitar, this being a recent take on the long running classic. The neck is super comfy: flat and fast with a shred-friendly D shape, a 400mm radius and titanium rods under the hood to keep it exactly where you like it no matter where you travel to, The pickups are great too: smooth and articulate, with a pleasing natural sustain and an assured even response across all strings all the way up and down the fretboard. The tree of life inlays, monkey grip and classic white and gold combo are such a fun look too, it's classy-nasty. It's Vai-ry good, all in all.

The front has minor scuffs around the knobs and bridge, dimples along the back edge and play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 9/42 Moonshiners strings.
