Greco EG900 LP Standard style, tobacco bust, made in Japan 1976. This is absolutely delightful. Greco made several models styled after the Les Paul Standard in the 70s; this was the priciest and fanciest of them all in it's day. As such, it's blessed with some exceptional high grade timber and some classy touches like fret nibs and a recessed switch. The plain maple top is absolutely stunning, the chocolate to gold burst has aged to perfection and this just radiates class and sophistication. Tonally, this really channels the 1950s Les Pauls it set out to imitate: there's a certain almost Telecaster-esque twang and clarity through the high end that lesser guitars can only dream of. The sparkling, eloquent top end is balanced by a harmonically rich and airy midrange a creamy low end; these vintage Maxon U-4000 pickups absolutely deliver the goods. The neck is an arrow-straight, comfortably slim and perfectly played-in three piece maple job; it's very satisfying in the hands. If you're after a lawsuit LP, they don't come much better than this.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some minor chips on the end. Neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. Fretboard has some light play marks but is in good shape. Back has a couple of chips near the electronics cavity and on the top edge in the shoulder area as well as some widespread light scuffs and dimples; nothing nasty. The sides have a few marks: a chip and some dimples on the top horn, a chip and some dimples and scuffs on the shoulder and near the jack, minor dimples on the bottom horn. The front us pretty clean, just a scratch near the switch and some play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (7.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear but are fairly even in height with no major buzz issues, 6/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
