Gibson J-45 Historic Collection Vintage Sunburst 2005

Gibson J-45 Historic, made in USA 2005, Vintage Sunburst. The Historic Collection models were the early-00s reissues of Gibson's golden era models. The J-45 HC gets a super agreeable slim neck, 50s-style white button tuners and a vintage correct take on top bracing and the sunburst finish. It looks fantastic: the burst lets the super fine grain of the high grade spruce shine through, the rosewood board is dark and streaky and the gold logo and white tuners tie it all together nicely. The sound on offer is sweet: girthy and rounded down low, gooey and rich and through the mids and clear and chiming on top. The Takamine pickup sounds great too, it's a handy bonus, The case and docs are included, so it's all in good order and ready to go. We've got this one setup in Eb wearing 13-56s, and oh boy, it's a very nice thing to sit with and play.
