Fender Kurt Cobain Road Worn Jaguar Left Handed Sunburst 2011
Fender Kurt Road Worn Jag, lefty, sunburst relic, made in Mexico 2011. Very few guitar players changed the music world as much as Kurt Cobain. You can buy a new Kurt model these days, but that's not the same guitar as this. This is a first year example of the Road Worn series version, so it's finished in nitro and given the relic treatment. It's got the Kurt-specs: three way toggle switch, three knob control plate, tune-o-matic style bridge, Dimarzio humbuckers. All that adds up to a big, hairy tone. There's heaps of crunchy, warm mids and a big, dirty low end wallop, it's very convincing indeed. The neck and headstock show off some gorgeous birds-eye grain in the maple too, it's a lovely piece of wood and feels great in the hand. These come up in this part of the world approximately never, so if you're a southpaw Nirvana tragic who's been waiting for the right moment, you've probably got one chance. Entertain us.
Model: Fender Kurt Cobain Road Worn Jaguar
Made: Mexico, 2011 (serial MX11324312)
Finish: 3-tone sunburst (3TS), gloss nitro, factory relic treatment, 4-ply tort guard
Body: alder
Neck: maple with rosewood board, 24" scale, 9.5" radius, slim C shape
Weight: 3.855kg
Mods: nut replaced, as it was setup RH on arrival and has been converted back to LH
Pickup: DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAF and DP100 Super Distortion humbuckers
Case: basic non-original hard case
Cosmetic condition notes: relic finish wear. Being a relic finish, it's very hard to say what's play wear and what's been there since the factory. As best I can tell, there's no additional major marks. Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. The frets have minor wear only, 9/10 for fret life left. All electrics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
