Fender Strat, olympic white, made in USA 2022/5. This, folks, is a hot rodded American Original series Strat. It's got a replaced neck, so it's wearing a snazzy recent American Vintage II neck, as well as new eggshell guard. In the hands, you'd never guess the neck and body weren't a factory matched pair; this feels fantastic. The neck is a super comfy shape and makes for a fast friend, while the body is resonant and responsive. The pickups are vintage voiced, but they've got a reasonable kick to them. The bass is fast and tight, the treble is glassy and clear, and the midrange is musical and understated. The in-between positions are especially good on this one, it's got a very pronounced funky quack to it. If you're after a vintage spec USA Strat for a relative bargain, or keen to further mod a terrific base, this is a super fun option.
